Terms of Service

Droppy is non-custodial payment software. These terms explain what we provide, what we do not, and what you are responsible for. They are written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

What Droppy is

Droppy provides software for creating cryptocurrency payment requests and verifying, against a public blockchain, whether those requests have been paid. It operates on Robinhood Chain.

Droppy is not a bank, broker, exchange, money transmitter, custodian or financial adviser. We do not hold, control, invest or have access to your funds at any point. Payments move directly from a payer's wallet to the wallet address you sign in with.

Your account

Access is authenticated by a cryptographic signature from your wallet. Your wallet is your account: whoever controls it controls your Droppy data and receives your payments.

You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, its private keys and its recovery phrase. We never ask for and never receive any of these. If you lose access to your wallet, we cannot restore access to your account, and we cannot recover funds sent to it.

Payments and irreversibility

Blockchain transactions are final. Once confirmed, a payment cannot be reversed, cancelled or charged back by Droppy, by you, or by anyone else.

You are responsible for the accuracy of every payment request you create, including the amount, the asset and the receiving address. Verify the network and address before sharing a link, and before approving any transaction in your wallet.

Funds sent on the wrong network, to the wrong address, or in an unsupported asset are generally unrecoverable. Droppy cannot retrieve them.

Verification and its limits

Droppy marks a payment as paid only after reading the transaction receipt from a blockchain node and confirming that the receipt succeeded, the funds reached the request's address, the amount met or exceeded the amount requested, and the required confirmations were reached.

This verification depends on third-party blockchain infrastructure. If that infrastructure is unavailable, delayed or returns incorrect data, verification may be delayed or, in unusual circumstances, incorrect. Blockchain reorganisations, though rare, can in principle affect recently confirmed transactions.

You should independently confirm significant payments using a block explorer before relying on them or fulfilling high-value orders.

Acceptable use

You may not use Droppy for unlawful purposes, including fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or the sale of goods or services prohibited in your jurisdiction. The Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these terms.

You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including licensing, tax and consumer protection obligations arising from accepting cryptocurrency payments.

Availability

Droppy is provided without any uptime commitment or service level agreement. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

The service is early-stage software. It has not undergone a third-party security audit. You should evaluate it with small amounts before relying on it for material sums.

Disclaimers

Droppy is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that verification results will be accurate in every circumstance.

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Cryptocurrency values are volatile and you may lose money.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Droppy and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of funds, profits, revenue, data or goodwill arising from your use of the service.

Because Droppy charges no fees and never holds your funds, our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months, or one hundred United States dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case those limitations apply only to the extent permitted.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product develops. Material changes will be reflected in the last-updated date on this page. Continuing to use Droppy after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
